이민호 선생님 Mr Min-Ho Lee
가정의학과 GPST2 General Practice
Vice President
Dr Min-Ho Lee is a GP resident in London and currently serves as Vice President of the Korean UK Medical Association (KUMA). He has been involved with KUMA since its early student-organisation days in 2008, making him one of the longest-standing members of the community. Over the years he has helped organise educational events, networking initiatives, and community outreach programmes, including serving previously as KUMA Secretary.
Dr Lee values KUMA for the strong sense of connection it creates among Korean healthcare professionals in the UK. As Vice President, he endeavors to strengthen mentorship and collaboration across generations of members.
Fun fact: outside medicine, Dr Lee is also a property investment specialist and runs a growing property business focused on serviced accommodation and property consulting.

박소진 선생님 Dr Sojin Park

Secretary of Internal Affairs
I've really enjoyed getting involved in outreach charity work we deliver to the wider Korean community. The networking opportunities have also been very meaningful.

김수연 선생님 Dr Suyun Kim
Locum SHO
Secretary of External Affairs
Fun fact: 초등학교 때 ‘예쁜 어린이 치아 대회’에 나가 참가상으로 치약 세트를 받은 적이 있습니다. 제 커리어에서 꽤 자랑스런 이력 중 하나입니다.

안근휘 선생님 Mr Keunhwi (Michael) Ahn
비뇨기과 Urology Specialist Registrar

Mr Michael (Keunhwi) Ahn was born in Jeonju, South Korea, and raised in Toronto, Canada. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton and foundation training in Leicester. He is currently a specialist urology registrar in the West Midlands. His passion lies within medical education, surgical training and mentorship; and endourology. He hopes to network with likeminded individuals and help those interested in pursuing a career in surgery.
Something others don’t know about me: I like boxing - I used to train when I was a student in Southampton. I also speak with a Jeolla-do accent.

윤지인 선생님 Dr Jiin Youn
가정의학과 General Practice
Events Secretary
I love meeting new people and have been craving to do so more than ever since the
pandemic! I hope to bring lots of fun opportunities/ events to the team and meet our Korean fellows across the UK (new and old faces).
Look forward to seeing you all soon!!

권재은 선생님 Dr Tiffany Kwon
가정의학과 General Practice
Membership Officer
As a member of the Korean UK Medical Association (KUMA) committee, I’m constantly reminded of the power of connection, communication, and compassion in healthcare. Just like how each organ plays its part to keep the body in harmony, our unity helps address the diverse needs of our community. "For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ." This idea reflects our shared mission.
In today's fragmented world, effective communication is crucial, bridging gaps and providing clarity in healthcare. Love, defined by compassion and genuine care, guides us in treating each patient with dignity. But let's not forget the fun!
Somethings others don’t know about me: approach me to find out more about me!

김수완 선생님 Miss Suewan Kim
소아외과 Paediatric Surgery, Core Surgical Trainee
Professional Development Officer
I was actively involved in KMDA-UK/KUMAS during medical school. I have very much enjoyed the experience of being able to meet friendly Korean medics in different areas/specialties and getting some advice from the seniors was just so invaluable. During the foundation years (and the start of the pandemic), I was in a small town, barely seeing any Koreans, and I really missed this community. By joining the committee, I hope to get to be a part of this lovely group again.
Something others don’t know about me:
유연석 in 'Hospital Playlist' is indeed my favourite actor, but that is not the reason why I want to become a paediatric surgeon.

박준화 선생님 Dr David Park
Charity Outreach Officer
I am thrilled to be joining the KUMA committee this year. Volunteering for Health Awareness Day gave me a real sense of the strong community KUMA has built, and I am excited to be part of its future. KUMA plays an essential role in bringing together Korean medical professionals across the UK, and I look forward to contributing to its growth and impact.
I look forward this year to connecting with both our committee and the wider KUMA community, building meaningful relationships and supporting key initiatives. With exciting events, mentorship opportunities, and networking ahead, I am keen to get involved and help make this year a great one.
Something others don't know about me: I love playing electric guitar!

한 준형 선생님 Dr Junhyung Han
인턴 Foundation Year 1
FY Representative
I am a FY 1 doctor at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where I also completed my medical degree at the University of Birmingham. Since first moving to the UK in 2018, I have benefitted greatly from the sense of community that KUMAS and KUMA have provided, and I’m now delighted to contribute as a committee member and Foundation Representative.
In this role, I look forward to supporting foundation doctors, introducing practical guidance on portfolios, and creating opportunities for students and junior doctors to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. I am also keen to support those interested in preparing for the Korean medical license, building an environment where we can study and grow together.

윤원영 선생님 Dr Won Young Yoon
인턴 Foundation Year 2
FY Representative
Dr Yoon is a Foundation Year doctor at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. He completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester with an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London.
Having been actively involved in KUMA events, he joined the KUMA committee this year as the FY Representative. He aspires to engage FY doctors nationwide and raise awareness of KUMA. In his role, he will support KUMA's mission by organising FY Welcome Days and Mentorship Days, as well as both formal and informal gatherings, to foster a strong sense of community and connection within the FY group while contributing to the broader vision of a unified and inclusive KUMA community.
Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and cycling.
