Europe-Korea Conference on Science and Technology 2018
KUMA was invited to host a session in the Europe-Korea Conference on Science and Technology (EKC 2018) together with Korean Medics in Scotland (KMS). This conference brings together Korean scientists and engineers working in Europe and in Korea and aims to foster and develop new relationships, the exchange knowledge & ideas and to promote science & technology that is of service to society.
Second Generation Leaders Meeting 2017
KUMA members were invited to a networking dinner hosted at the house of the Korean Ambassador to the United Kingdom in Kensington, London. Also invited were other committee members from various professional groups including: finance (KUFA), law (IAKL-UK), science (KSEAUK), and Korean Professionals in London group. It was an opportunity to develop relationships with other Korean professional groups with the aim of giving back to and supporting the Korean community.
KMA Congress 2017 | 대한의사협회 제35차 종합학술대회 2017
Members of the KUMA committee were invited to the chair a session in the 35th KMA Congress, held at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea. Committee members presented and participated in Global Networking and International Korean medical students forums. It was an opportunity for networking with various Korean doctors, not only from Korea, but also from the US, Canada, China, and many other countries. One notable experience was meeting Dr Peter Rhee, an American trauma surgeon known for treating Representative Gabriel Giffords in the 2011 Tucson shooting.
